what if i have nothing to say?

what if no one reads it?

what if everyone reads it?

what even is substack?

“you have to start a newsletter,” they say.

And it sounds like a great idea. Having a way to share your work with others. Building a space for your writing practice to live beyond Morning Pages. Growing your business through your writing.

Yes. I’m going to do it. I’m going to start an email newsletter.

And then any time you take one tiny baby step, you get overwhelmed.

Because, what sensitive creative human wouldn’t?

First you have to choose a platform.
What even is a Substack?
How do you use Flodesk?
Does Mailchimp still exist?
Do I really need Kit?
Does it make sense to pay for this service?

And then you have to write.
Where will I find the time?
What if I have nothing to say?
What if I don’t catch the typos?
What if I have writer’s block?

And then you have to put your writing out there.
What if people see it?
What if people don’t like it?
What if they do like it?
What if my ex reads it?
What if my mom sees it?!?!
What actually happens when I hit publish?

And then you have to invite people to sign up and read your newsletter.
Ugh, the absolute cringe of it all!

What if you had someone to cheer you on for every baby step?

To ask the questions that will help you choose the right platform?

To coach you through the fear of putting yourself out there?

To work through the tech steps with you?

you can have massive support while you launch a newsletter.

  • creativity coaching

We’ll kick off three months of newsletter support with a 50-minute coaching call where we can discuss goals for your newsletter, your writing practice, and what tech tools might be best for getting your words and work out into the world. For three months, you will also have access to coaching support during Voxer Office Hours each week.

  • tech support

After we’ve determined the format and content of your newsletter, I’ll help you set up the tech you need. This can include building you a Notion template to keep track of your ideas, your writing, and editorial calendar. This could include an email template in the email service provider you’ve chosen. This could include a lead magnet and/or welcome sequence.

  • weekly coworking

during your three months of support inside of MUSEletter Launch, you will have access to the MUSEletter Lounge, a virtual coworking session for folks writing newsletters. We meet on Monday afternoons three times a month.

who is MUSEletter for?

MUSEletter is for you if you find yourself in one or more of these categories:

  • writers who want to share their work more widely — beyond their notebook or small writing group

  • creative humans who want to share their work over email but are overwhelmed by the tech

  • creative humans who want to share their work but the visibility and vulnerability make them want to vomit a little bit

  • folks who already have a newsletter but need a dose of gentle accountability to write and share it more regularly

  • folks with a newsletter and want a refresh of the format and flow

  • folks with a newsletter who need help setting up a lead magnet or welcome sequence
