stop letting your ideas die in a notebook.
I know you have multiple brilliant ideas a day, in an hour even.
I know it's way more than you're bringing to life.
And I know it's not (entirely) your fault you're not acting on all of them.
You're a mere mortal magical creature with a touch of executive dysfunction living through these times, and there are several things keeping you from bringing your ideas to life:
you can only focus on a few (one) thing(s) at a time;
your attention, the relentless news cycle, and SHINY OBJECTS;
difficulty identifying priorities;
seasons of caretaking responsibility
seasons of illness or low energy or both
general capacity limits.
If you're one of us (someone who can't turn your ideas into reality immediately), there's one thing you can do to increase your chances of bringing your ideas to life by 1000%. I made up that number for emphasis.
you need a safe place to store your ideas that makes it easy to find them when you’re ready to act, and for all those times when brilliance shows up in between.
the creative wilds index is that safe place
It doesn't have to be all or nothing: act on your idea as soon as it shows up or say goodbye to it forever (because who has the brain space to hold on to every genius idea she has?).
When you can pause, knowing your best inspiration, project plans, and half-formed thoughts will be waiting for you - organized and easy to find - your creative-human-nervous-system can let out a big exhale.
And then you're free to
decide with clarity which ideas to act on;
buy yourself a bit of time until your energy matches the project;
plan as inspiration strikes instead of forcing it all at once.
Then, when you're ready to start, you don't have to start from zero.
And you'll learn to trust yourself with your best ideas, which means they're more likely to keep flowing. And you know that kind of abundance is balm for the creative soul.
Over the last couple years I've built a system in Notion that supports my whole life.
And for the first time, I'm pulling out just the piece that serves as my idea catcher, to share it with you!
I'm so excited to share The Creative Wilds Index, the tool I've been using to store all of my best ideas (and worst, honestly, because sometimes it's hard to tell - and sometimes the worst ideas grow into the best).
The Index will hold your best ideas, resources, and knowledge for all areas of your life: Home, Personal, Relationships, and Work.
When creative humans build systems to make every aspect of their lives — not just their creative projects — easier, more organized, and more streamlined they free up so much extra space, energy, and time for creative practice.
the creative wilds index can support that kind of system
The Index will make all your best ideas - and that chia pudding Instagram recipe, and that Halloween Pinterest craft, and that insightful TikTok on capitalism, and that article you want to save for your next stage of parenting, and that essay that made you cry, and that list of new novels your favorite BookTuber recommends - so easy to find when you want to engage (or show your bestie that therapy meme).
The Index is not your mother’s bullet journal.
It won't take you hours to set up every month.
It's highly organized - and searchable!
