WRITING FRIDAY
One month of support as you build the foundation of your most creative life: a recurring artist date designed just for you.
Imagine it's Friday morning.
By design, you don't have any meetings or calls scheduled for the day.
Maybe you have a few errands on your list, but you were careful not to let annoying tasks fill your day. They're things like popping into the bakery to grab your favorite dessert to share with your family or roommate.
Or stopping by the library to pick up the books you put on hold with enough space and time to spend as many minutes as you want sitting on the floor with a few open books in new fiction, gardening, textile arts, or whatever feels alive.
By design, the only things on your “agenda” today are the things that light you up and inspire you.
You grab a notebook and your favorite pen, the book you're currently reading, and maybe a set of travel watercolors or a handful of fun markers. You head to your favorite café for a cozy drink and a snack and settle in to read or write or draw, whatever feels the most delightful.
Or you pack a picnic lunch, a thermos of tea, a pocket notebook and a drawing pencil in a cute backpack or basket to take with you on a long hike or bike ride. You stop to snack or sip or draw or write whenever you feel like it.
Or you spend the afternoon wandering in your favorite neighborhood. You have no plans except to pop into whatever spaces are calling you.
By design, you spend your time taking in what you see, smell, taste, hear, and touch that spark your interest, your curiosity, your creativity.
What if you had a day, a morning, an afternoon, an hour like this?
How would it feel to spend time in your most delicious, most nourishing, most generative creative space?
Regularly?
How magical would you feel?
What creative delights would you unleash on the world?
And what if you had all the support you needed to build this kind of day that was part of your most creative life?
you’re invited to your own Writing Friday
Writing Friday is my weekly artist date with myself where I spend a few hours every Friday in my favorite cafe with no wifi, just writing in a notebook. This practice changes and shifts with seasons, but keeping this commitment to myself has been the number one game changer in my creative life.
And I want that for you, too!
Your artist date doesn't have to be on a Friday and you don't have to write, and you don't have to sit in a café. Whenever, whatever, and wherever you choose, I can help you show up for yourself.
Together, over Zoom, we'll use my framework for building the most delightful, inspiring artist date for you. And together, we'll design it to be sustainably recurring.
Having a regular artist date means ideas will flow freely, it will be easier to share your work beyond the pages of your secret journal, and you'll develop and nurture a deep knowing that you are an artist.

What can you expect from a month of support in Writing Friday?
When you sign up
You’ll choose a date and time for our kickoff Zoom call. Before the call you can reach out via Voxer (a text and voice messaging app) to tell me about your current creative live and what you’d love from a recurring creative practice.
During our Zoom call
Over 50 minutes on our Zoom call, we'll use my framework to design your most delicious, inspiring Artist Date. I'll offer coaching on how to create more time and space in your life for creativity. You'll end up with a day, time, and place for your first artist date and strategies for making this practice sustainable.
For one month after our call
I'd love to hear from you over Voxer with follow up around your first month of artist dates. Check in to let me know how things are going and we can brainstorm how to tweak any pieces that aren’t working or don’t feel quite right. I’ll offer encouragement, gentle accountability, and coaching as needed.
How do you know if Writing Friday is for you?
You are a creative human.
You feel inspired with new ideas but you don't know where to start.
You want to be more open to inspiration.
You want to build a regular creative practice in your life.
You know all of this would be easier and more fun with support.

INVITED BY MELANIE
I'm Melanie, a creativity coach for dreamers and feminists who want to do things differently. I understand that the world isn't always kind to artists. I see how the way we live can make it hard to create what we know we are here to create.
I help creative women find time, space, and energy for their creative callings and to live their most creative lives. I support my clients with gentle accountability, creativity coaching, narrative mentorship, and unapologetic permission granting.
I can help you, a creative human, navigate this world so that you can create whatever has been tugging on your heart - and so that together, we can build a better world.
